It is better to get one with a brush head that uses sonic pulses rather than one that spins.
It is best to have your child’s first appointment before their third birthday, but you can bring him/her in after their first tooth appears.
You should brush your teeth at least twice a day. If possible, it is better to brush them after each meal.
To help remove plaque buildup, you should floss at least once a day.

Gum disease is a bacterial infection caused by a buildup of plaque. Signs of this disease are bleeding gums and loose teeth. It can be prevented by brushing and flossing daily.
Adults and pediatric patients 6 years of age or older:
  • Apply a thin ribbon of PreviDent®.
  • Brush thoroughly once daily for two minutes, preferably at bedtime, in place of your regular toothpaste
  • Spit
  • Adults (16+): Do NOT eat, drink, or rinse for 30 minutes.
  • Pediatric Patients (6-16): Rinse thoroughly after spitting
